Bushman’s Gorge boasts luxurious accommodation overlooking the Fish River Valley with unspoiled natural beauty and an abundance of fauna and flora.
Nyala, Kudu and other species frequent the surrounding waterholes and can easily be viewed from the lodge. Following an exciting day on safari or hunting you will be able to enjoy a drink with friends and family around the campfire under the African sky.
Bushman’s Gorge is situated just a short drive away from Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape Province. Our fully catered accommodation includes all meals, soft drinks, spirituous liquor, wine and beer. Comfortable en-suite rooms offer you all the luxury of home set in the African bush and will be serviced, by our friendly lodge staff daily.
We also provide a daily laundry service. Hunting at Bushman’s Gorge is typically done on foot by spotting and stalking a land area of over 3,000ha. As well as hunting, there are a number of activities available near the lodge for hunting clients wishing to bring their families and still enjoy the adventure.
Nxakwe is the Xhosa name for Warthog. These entertaining creatures are fond in plentiful numbers in the region.
Nxakwe is a true African style Lodge where lighting is solar and paraffin powered, offering you a rustic experience away from modern amenities.
It consists of a thatched double story dining and entertainment room, leading onto the central lapa area where a blazing open fire mesmerizes you as drinks are served under the African star lit sky. Luxurious thatched bungalows offer en-suite facilities and are connected to each other and the central lapa area by well-lit wooden walkways.
Nxakwe Lodge and the hunting area are situated within the Kat River Conservancy spanning an area of 125,000 acres. The vegetation in the Conservancy varies from thick bushveld and indigenous forest to savannah. The area, know as ‘Frontier Country’ has a rich history and is home to most of South Africa’s browsing species of antelope.
It also offers fine winged shooting with a variety of bird species. Hunting is typically done by glassing across valleys, and your Professional Hunter will get you in a position to make a clean shot.
The lodge is situated in the malaria free game rich area of the Eastern Cape in South Africa.
This area offers the most diverse hunting terrain in all of South Africa, ranging from semi desert areas in the Karoo to the dense forestry along the coastline of the Indian Ocean.
With 34 different huntable species of game, specializing in the art of hunting plains game. Other rare species including the big 5 are available on request.
This base camp consists of a main lodge and thatched chalets with en-suite bathrooms. These are all equipped with modern amenities to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay.
After an exhilarating day out you will return to a scrumptious meal, specially prepared for you by our experienced cooks.
Meals range from traditional South African cuisine to specialized game dishes prepared from select game cuts which are cooked on an open fire barbeque.
Little Okavango Lodge is based in the Limpopo near Steenbokpan. You
will find yourself engulfed by the pristine wilderness and spectacular
beauty, this Lodge has to offer.
All the luxury rooms are fully airconditioned with en-suite facilities. The dining area also offers a bar and lounge where you will relax after a long day in the field. Little Okavango Lodge covers an area of more than 10,000 acres.
Rifle hunting is typically done by glassing and your Professional Hunter will get you in perfect position for a clean shot. The well positioned hides, also make this Lodge ideal for bow hunters. You will find an abundance of species at Little Okavango such as Buffalo, Giraffe, Impala and Nyala to name but a few.
The luxurious lodge is situated on 300,000 ha of unspoiled nature with breath taking views over the beautiful Lake Kariba.
